Celebrity Focus: Tommy Lee Jones
San Antonio is rich with celebrities, many of whom visit the Riverwalk frequently, and can often be seen in establishments both on and off the river. Although they vary enormously in stature and character, they all have one thing in common – they’re very approachable and friendly to both locals and visitors alike. Tommy Lee Jones, most recently performing in No Country For Old Men, where he was the lead as a old man, can often be seen in The Liberty Bar (which is not on the Riverwalk) or the Adult DVD Megaplex on 1604. Known for his patience and extraordinary acting abilities, Jones embodies the spirit of San Antonian people in his ‘can-do’ attitude and desire to live north of downtown.
Other San Antonio celebrities include Summer Glau, from the embarrassingly-bad Terminator Chronicles show, and Eva Longoria-Spurs, whose husband provides a seed of talent to her family. Other huge celebrities exist, as you would expect from the 7th largest city in the United States, but are too numerous and varied to list – one thing is for sure though: the spirit of the world-famous Riverwalk is carried by each and every one of these special people, as they represent San Antonio in their daily lives.
